What Are Liquidation Pallets?
Liquidation pallets are bulk lots of merchandise that retailers and distribution centers need to move quickly. They typically include:
- Customer returns — items returned for any reason (wrong size, change of mind, open-box, or defective)
- Shelf pulls — products removed from store shelves to make room for new inventory (often new with minor shelf wear)
- Overstock / surplus — excess new inventory that did not sell in time
- Closeouts — discontinued lines or packaging changes
These goods are consolidated onto pallets (or full truckloads) and sold at deep discounts — commonly 50–70%+ below original retail value. Resellers sort, test, list, and sell the individual items through Amazon, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Shopify stores, flea markets, or brick-and-mortar outlets.
